I'm Rachel Pivarnik, founder of Pivotal Safety Consulting.

I've spent twelve years building environmental, health, and safety programs across manufacturing, energy, and consumer goods — work that involves as much time in production areas and with frontline crews as it does with regulations. I hold the Certified Safety Professional credential, the highest standard of accreditation in the profession, along with a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and authorization from OSHA as an Outreach Trainer for General Industry.

What that background means in practice: I've reduced recordable injury rates by 66% at a multi-site manufacturer, driven an 80% increase in near-miss reporting by making it something workers actually wanted to participate in, led NFPA 70E and electrical safety program implementation across facilities, and integrated EHS systems through an acquisition. I've written the programs, run the audits, sat through the inspections, and taught the classes.

Why I started this

Good safety work is rarely a documentation problem. It's a translation problem. The standards are public and the requirements are knowable. What's hard is turning them into something a supervisor can run and an operator will follow, in a facility with real constraints and real production pressure.

That's the work I do. Whether it's an OSHA 10 for a crew that's never had formal training, a mock inspection before a regulator shows up, or a written program you need in place to bid on a contract, the goal is the same: something that works when it's tested.
